My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, Lisa Samra, refers to a reminder to her that God is God and we must choose to acknowledge Him and always follow Him. The ODB author writes … A plaque in our home states “Bidden or not bidden, God is present.” A modern version might read, “Acknowledged or unacknowledged, God is here.”
Hosea, an Old Testament prophet who lived in the late eighth century bc (755–715), wrote similar words to the Hebrew nation. [See highlight passage]
How well do we really know God? … Because the truths from the Scriptures above cry out to declare that when we know the reality and sovereignty of God, we will acknowledge Him as our Lord and choose willingly to follow and serve Him … no matter what our circumstances.
As we take in Steven Curtis Chapman’s song, God’s word above, and the ODB truths today, do we know our God intimately enough to acknowledge Him as LORD in all we think, say, and do? Because if we cannot strongly say “YES” in answer to that question, don’t you think we need to get to know our God more intimately?
And that’s the primary reason you find me here EVERY day, getting to know my God more intimately thru His word. Because as I do, I join Joshua [see Joshua 24:15]… acknowledging and choosing to serve my Lord day-by-day … every day!

My THANKFULNESS: … Oh Abba Father, … thank You, Lord, … for just being You!

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, … King Jesus, … I pray, Lord, that all reading here know You, as Lord, well enough to acknowledge You in all we think, say, and do. … Amen
