Berry Patch Devotions in 2021 - Day 267

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ... Please take the time to take in song and lyrics from Rend Collective singing … Your Name Is Power … powerfully singing of how the Name of The Lord is power to change lives forever.

==============

Highlight Passage: …Genesis 17:5 [ESV] …

No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.

…God shows Abram whom he would become by changing his name to “Abraham,” which means “father of a multitude.”

Highlight Passage (Context): … Genesis 17:1-8, 15-17 [NLT] … USE THIS LINK …

… God changes the names of Abram and Sarai to reflected who they would become in God’s Kingdom.

===============                                                                     .

Reference Passage: … Isaiah 9:6 [NLT] …

For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace

… God, thru Isaiah, prophesies the wondrous power which will be found in the Name of our Messiah.

Reference Passage: … Matthew 28:18 [NLT] …

18 Jesus came and told His disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. … “

… Just before Jesus ascends into heaven, He declares His power and authority over all to His disciples.

Reference Passage: … John 14:6 [NLT] …

  “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

… Jesus declares His power to save to His disciples.

Reference Passage: …  Acts 4:12 [ESV] …

12 There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

… We will find salvation in no other Name than that of Jesus!

Reference Passage: …  Romans 10:13 [ESV] …

13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

… Paul quotes from Joel 2:32 that ANYONE who calls on the Name of the Lord, Jesus, in faith will be saved.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread< author, Anne Boucher Eye … AT THIS LINK tells how names in the Bible often reflected the character of life of the one who held that name. And the author used God’s name change of Abram and Sarai to “Abraham and Sarah” to illustrate that truth [see Highlight passage].

But there is no other NAME in all of God’s word - or in history for that matter - which reflects the power and majesty of the name of “JESUS.” And if my readers have taken in the linked song and meditated on the reference Scriptures above, we know that our Lord Jesus’ name is THE NAME above all names and the only name which can - and will - save mankind.

So, … I stop to pray that everyone reading here has recognized - in faith - that we are saved to eternal glory by our faith in and declaration of Jesus as THE Name of THE ONE who has saved us. And in that truth, do I sense a robust Hallelujah!!!

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for the Name I have called on in faith to save me.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to declare that “JESUS” is only Name with the power and authority to save us. .… Amen
