My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Xochitl Dixon … AT THIS LINK writes of missing his mother after her passing; but finding an artist who could paint her image into more current family portraits.  It was like the ODB author could imagine what it would be like to be with her mom in heaven.

Perhaps my readers have heard the linked song, where the lead singer, Bart Mallard, of the group Mercy Me, tries to image and sing what it will be like to be with our loved ones, fellow Christians, who’ve gone on to be with the Lord in Heaven.  The photo above tries to depict that hope; and the Scriptures above point to the truth and reality of the glory we, who know Christ as Savior, will experience when we are with our Lord in glory.

So, today I’m joining my readers to pray that we’re all preparing to be with King Jesus one day in heaven.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for Your promise and our hope to one day join You, Lord, in heaven.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, …  to be uplifted by the hope we have, Lord, that one day You will bring us to be with You in heaven.   .… Amen
