… God, thru the Prophet Joel, charges God’s people to tell of God’s mighty works from generation to generation.

Reference Passage: … 1Peter 2:9 [NLT] …

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

… God, thru Peter, charges fellow Christians, as a chosen people to share the goodness of God to others who come after us.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Kirsten Holmberg… AT THIS LINK  tells of an elderly Orca whale who took over the motherly duties of a motherless baby orca (see photo) to show the baby whale how to thrive in the ocean.

And it’s a life picture of how believers are called by God, in the Old and New Testaments; and that is to pass along the mighty works and Gospel plans of God to the following generations.

I was blessed, as a new, 40+ year-old, “baby,” Christian, to be mentored by an Elder in my church, who met with me weekly for years, helping me grow in my relationship with Christ.  And now I’m blessed to be able to mentor others who need to find a closer, and more abiding, relationship with the Lord.

Who has helped you grown closer to Jesus?  … Whom could you help come to know Jesus and grow closer to Him than ever before?

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for calling me to help others know Your mighty works, Lord.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to show the next generation of believers, Lord, that You want to lift them up with Your grace.      Amen
