My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Winn Collier … AT THIS LINK   tells of the inspirational story of a 103 year old woman, Man Kaur from India, who won several gold medals at the World Masters Athletic Competition in Poland (see photo), where she desired to leave a legacy of finishing strong for others who might follow her example of life-long effort.

And the ODB author also made reference to the legacy of faith left by the Apostle Paul, in the highlight passage, writing to Timothy how Paul had kept the faith and left a legacy of following Christ right to the end of his life.  And these examples of long-lasting faith and disciplined endurance today certainly call me out, … challenging me to take inventory on this last day of the year and move forward into the New Year, trying to do more to leave a legacy of faith for others to follow me (just as Paul exhorted other Christians in 1Cor 11:1).

Let’s finish stronger this year!!   … Are you with me?

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for giving me Your enduring grace to follow You more diligently this year.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to do all we can to follow You more diligently, Lord, and to lead others to compete in the race of life more strongly.        Amen
