My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread  Author -  Adam R Holz … AT THIS LINK  - the ODB author, tells of he and his wife enjoying sappy, romantic movies which had a thematic formula which always worked out for the movie couple … until they realized that some of the movies promoted such ideas as ”Love is a feeling” … OR … ”Follow your heart,” … OR … ”Your happiness matters most!”  And all of those ideals are counter to following God’s truth and His word; and so the ODB author and his wife did their best to stand against such ideals, trying to stand firm in their faith.  

And we all need to take in the warnings from God’s truth, as listed above, and stand firm, … ALWAYS … putting Christ and His will and His ways first, doing battle against Satan, the world, and our flesh …  thusly standing firm in our faith.   Are you with me in this?  And if not, … what can we do to put Christ first in our minds and hearts?       

 

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You , Lord, once again for giving me Your word to be my perfect “GPS,” guiding me to follow You and avoiding the world or my selfish ways.  

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray. again today, that all reading here will join me, … to ALWAYS beware to follow You, Lord, and avoid worldly or selfish ways.   … Amen
