My Devotional Journal: Today’s  Our Daily Bread  Author -  Alyson Kieda  AT THIS LINK  -   The ODB author writes of 19th century writer/poet, Phillips Brooks, going to Bethlehem and being inspired to write the old Christmas carole, “O Little Town of Bethlehem,” (see linked song) in which the poet writes in 1868, in the aftermath of the Civil War, of the peace which was born in the manger in Bethlehem and which comes in those who believe in that Messiah.

Oh how I pray that all who read with me here today have found that peace, … the only peace we can have, … which comes from our relationship with the One Who was born in that manger in Bethlehem.  I’m seeking His peace today; … how about you?

My Thanksgiving … Oh, King Jesus, thank You for the peace which comes from my relationship with You, my Lord.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray. again today, that all reading here will join me, … to seek the only true peace which only comes from You, dear Lord.        Amen
