My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread from Mike Wittmer … USE THIS LINK … used the plot line from the movie The Wild One, where the star, Marlon Brando, illustrates the nature of all mankind to rebel and do life on his (our) own terms.
But then, … the ODB entry goes on to show that God, especially through the finished work of Christ on the Cross and His resurrection power, calls us to repent of our rebellious nature and return to The Lord, like a little child returning to the arms of his/her father (see photo). That’s where I’m running today, driven by the truth of the linked song and God’s word, shared above. How about you? Are you with me?
My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You …Lord, … for calling me back into Your loving arms today.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … thank You, Lord, for Your calling me to Your loving arms as I repent of my sinful past. … Amen
