My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Patricia Raybon … AT THIS LINK … tells of s msn, James Warren, in Denver who saw a woman sitting in the dirt at a bus stop; and having compassion on the woman, Warren used his wood-working skills to make a bench for the bus stop which had the words “Be Kind” on it (see photo). And following that, Warren made many other such benches for the Denver area.
And that story certainly illustrates what today’s ODB entry teaches, … that we, as Christ’s disciples are charged and challenged by God’s word to take on Christlike compassion, showing our Lord’s love and grace by the way we reach out to help others whenever we can. Very simply, … that’s the way Jesus treated others - with compassion <(see Scriptures above); and if compassion is the way of Christ, it should be our way too. So, what can we do today to show the love/grace of Christ to others?
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for calling us to show more of Your compassion to others whenever and wherever we can.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to follow Your lead, Lord, in showing compassion to/for others. … Amen
