… The Apostle Paul teaches Timothy (and us) that God’s word is God’s story to teach all believers what is true and right in our lives.
My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Bill Crowder … AT THIS LINK … Told of a young boy bringing the cover of Time Magazine on July 12, 1968, (see photo) depicting starving children in Biafra during a civil war, and asking his Pastor if God knew that was going on, rejecting any “god” who would allow that kind of suffering.
But the answer to that dilemma can be found in Jesus’ teaching to His disciples the night before He would go to the cross … that they were going to encounter all kinds of evil in this world … BUT … He, … their Messiah … their Lord, … had overcome the world (see Highlight passage). And that is the overwhelming message of God’s story, … ie., God’s word, … as God relates His story of redemption … sending His Spirit to provide all born-again believers with God’s word and His redemptive truth.
So, … I’m praying that all of us, who believe in God’s story - i.e., His word - take His eternal word and believe all His promises and His story … that He has overcome the world and given us His promises of peace as we follow Him to glory.
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for giving me Your peace thru Your story, Lord.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to receive the story of Your promised peace, Lord! … Amen
