My Journal for Today: Okay, have you taken in the attached photo, the lilting song linked for your mediation, and all [and I mean ALL!!] of the copied/linked Scripture passages to which I’ve referred you above. And I sure hope and pray that you’ve come here today to let God’s Spirit give you a big hug in this quiet place as we worship our Lord… TOGETHER.
And “together” is the operant word here today; because as illustrated by the hauntingly powerful song to which I’ve linked you, it is the HARMONY of members of Christ’s Body, coming together and using their Holy Spirit imparted gifts, which produces the power of God’s witness of love to the world, shining His light for all to see and follow.
So, … without having to write a lot more here, the attached photo really asks the question exhorted by my Our Daily Bread devotional this morning. Read the question aloud with me here, … “Your YOUnique gifts and talents – Do you know them? Are you using them?”
I don’t know about you as I sit here and write this, knowing that my Spiritual Gifts are teaching and encouragement, imagining that some (maybe you) are reading this, I know that my gifts are being used as Christ Himself directed in Acts 1: 8 and Matthew 5: 16; and I feel at harmony with God here today. How about you? Will you be using your gifts for God’s glory as you walk out to encounter the world today?
My Prayer for Today … Lord, I pray that any/all who read here today will move out to be Your light in a very dark world today. … Amen
