Reference Passage #1: Ecclesiastes 4: 10-12 … [NKJV] … [The value of community.] …
9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; but how can one be warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

 Reference Passage #2: Hebrews 10: 24-25 … [NKJV] … [Many is more powerful than a few. ] …
24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Reference Passage #3: Matthew 18: 19-20 … [NKJV] … [Jesus taught the power of community as well. ] …
19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

My Journal for Today: Though out the history of the Christian church, it’s protagonist, Yeshua HaMashiach, and its earliest founder/fathers recognized the power of the fellowship of believers toward mutual protection, communal provision, and the powerful dispersion of the grace of God. And if you’ve read through the scripture passages provided by the Our Daily Bread devotional on this matter as well as God’s word given to me on this subject, you’d agree, with me, that the fellowship of believers is where the action resides when it comes to sharing God’s grace with the world.

Take in the graphic representation, today’s song, and the scriptures; and I think you’ll come away from this meditation with the decided truth that today’s church is truly GOD’S VEHICLE to take His kingdom gospel message to the world. And I certainly don’t need to say anything more that these words – i.e., God’s words – on the matter.

My Prayer for Today … Lord, Your church is where the action is – for sure!!! … Amen
