Highlight Passage #1 - NKJV: Colossians 3: 17; 23-25 …
17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. … 23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. 25 But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.

Reference Passage #1: Matthew 24: 40 … [NKJV] … [Doing whatever is good, whenever it’s good, for whomever needs it, is doing good for Jesus.] …
40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.

Reference Passage #2: Matthew 5: 16 … [NKJV] … [Even one small candle can dispel the darkness.] …
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Reference Passage #3: 1st Corinthians 15: 58 … [NKJV] … [We should never grow weary of doing Gods’ work. ] …
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Reference Passage #4: Romans 12: 1… [NKJV] … [Any work we do to glorify God is our “living sacrifice” for Him.] …
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

My Journal for Today: Ever been in place where you see other Godly servants out there in the limelight, shining their fires for God brightly and being recognized for it … as with the Billy Graham’s of the world? And did you ever wonder if the one small, insignificant candle you bear in this dark world is a worthy witness to glorify God?

Well, If you’ve taken in my journal (i.e., blog) entry with the photo, song, and scriptural references, you’ll know – and should be encouraged by the truth that even one small candle, when it enters a dark place will dispel the darkness. So, Jesus first, and then the Apostle Paul, writes strongly for us to get out there and do something to shine God’s light in the world.

Because any act of outreach or kindness, being done in the Name of Christ, shines a light in the darkness and is done for our Lord.

My Prayer for Today:  Lord help me to be a candle-bearer in Your name today. Amen
