My Journal for Today: If you’re with me here in this quiet place, I hope you’ve taken in the photo image, the worship sog I’ve chosen, and the meditation on all of God’s word to which we were led by today’s Our Daily Bread devotional this morning. Because, … if you have taken the time to mediate soulfully on these images and truths, you must be joining me in saying, “Hallelujah!” … realizing, as Avalon sings in today’s song, that in the family of God there are no orphans.
And, as it says in both of the Pauline passages into which I was led to dwell this morning, we must realize (you and me) that we were chosen to be heirs of the King; … chosen before the dawn of time by a loving Abba Father. And I’m overjoyed today, remembering that my God and Heavenly Father, pursued ME (can you believe it?) to be, not only in His family but also to be His heir. So, I’ll not pollute this wonderful realization and the revelation of God’s love with a lot of words to cloud the truth that all who receive God’s saving grace by their faith are adopted as sons and daughters of the King.
Revel in it, dear one; and pray, along with me, a prayer of thanksgiving that we are in God’s family.
My Prayer for Today … Oh, dear Abba Father, we are feeling so grateful in this moment of reflection that You chose us to be Your family heirs for eternity, … sons and daughters of the King. … HALLELUJAH!!! … Amen
