Highlight Passage – NKJV: Romans 5: 18 [NKJV] …
18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.

Reference Passage #1: Matthew 19: 21 [NKJV] …
21 Jesus said to him [the rich, young ruler], “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

Reference Passage #2: Revelation 5: 5-6 [NKJV] …
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” 6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts….”

My Journal for Today: Fifty years ago, when I was a young man, who would’ve thought that the Coca-Cola corporation would be making more money off of bottled water than they do off of Coke? But here we are with people willing to pay good money for water in bottles when perfectly good, clean water can be consumed by twisting the handle of a faucet; and there are more regulations on the cleanliness of tap water than there are on water consumed in bottles. …

GO FIGURE!!!

It’s an interesting illustration of the fountains of living waters which can be freely consumed by anyone who is spiritually thirsty; and the price of those waters has been completely paid for by the infinitely expensive sacrifice of the Lamb of God. And Jesus, as that One Who explained to the rich young ruler in Matthew 19: 21 [above], … any of us who desire to consume God’s living waters have to be willing to give our all to receive those pre-paid, costliest of all, living waters. The question is, “Are we willing to sacrifice, in surrendered faith, our belief in Christ’s grace to partake of those waters which give eternal life, … those waters which were purified and paid for by Christ’s blood sacrifice on the cross?”

He is saying to anyone, “Come, … drink, … and live!!”   But can we partake of His free gift of the living waters with the cost of our faith? … It’s His gift, … and our choice to drink or not!

My Prayer for Today … I choose to drink from Your fountain, Lord! … Amen
