My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Monica LaRose … AT THIS LINK … writes about a mental health condition known as ““derealization” or “depersonalization,” where reality becomes a dream-like state where one feels that everything that is going on in their life is unreal or dreamlike.
And perhaps that ’s what the Apostle Peter was going thru when God sent an angel of mercy to free Peter from a Herodian prison (see Highlight passage). But in this incident, Peter awoke to realize that His God had sent an angel of light to give Peter God’s grace to lead him to freedom.
And I pray that all of us, who follow Christ as Lord, humbly realize - from the truth of the reference Scriptures quoted above, … that God’s grace is always available to give His chosen ones the empowerment to meet and overcome the challenges and self-imposed prisons of life. So, today, let’s wake up and receive our God’s enabling grace to follow King Jesus to freedom from the prisons of sin and shame.
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for providing me with Your empowering grace again today, my Lord.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to seek and follow Your grace. Lord, as You lead us to freedom from our self-imposed prisons of selfishness. … AMEN
