My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Kenneth Peterson -  AT THIS LINK  -   tells of a well known professional soccer player from Africa, Christian Atsu, an outspoken and dedicated Christian who scored the winning goal in a game in Turkey; and as he often proclaimed to reporters, … “Jesus is the best thing that every happened to me!”  The day after Atsu said that, there was a devastating earthquake in Turkey; and Atsu died as his hotel collapsed in the earthquake.   

And as that story illustrates… we don’t know what today may bring.  And so, as the linked song proclaims, … as well as God’s proclamations in the Scriptures above, … Jesus proclaimed His “great commission” … that we, His disciples, should be proclaiming God’s good news of salvation to any and all who will hear, … any time we get an opportunity. … Maybe today!            

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for calling for me and all of Your disciples to proclaim Your Good News to others, i.e., to those who need Your saving grace.      

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I’m praying that those who read with me here will join me to go forth and to be Your witnesses today.   … Amen
