My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Mike Wittmer -  AT THIS LINK  - told of President Harry Truman, after receiving word of the end of WW2, thought first to call his 92 year old mother, to report the good news and to receive his mom’s well wishes.

With the story showing that we, who are adopted into family of God, thru the finished work of Christ on the cross, should realize that God, our Father, wants to hear from us when any change or circumstances occur in our lives.  What do we, today on this day of freedom (i.e., July 4th) have to bring to our Abba Father today?  Personally, all I can think of is a resounding and thankful “Hallelujah!”  How about you?

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for giving me Your freedom thru my faith in You, Lord.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I’m praying today that those who read with me here will join me to thank You,  Abba Father, for allowing us to be adopted into Your family through our faith in Your Son, our Lord,  Jesus.    Amen
