My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Katara Patton  -  AT THIS LINK  -   related a true story of the basketball team at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU), playing in a tournament and surprising their fans by winning their first game; and then, being surprised even more when they heard their fight song being played by the band of Dayton University who had leaned and played the FDU song to show support to an opponent who had no band at the tournament.  

That kind of kindness is rare in college sports, isn't it? Really it’s all too rare in the world!  … But if you’ve taken the time to hear the linked song, by Steven Curtis Chapman, and to meditate on the Scriptures above, I’m praying we all get the message that God, thru His word, strongly calls all of us, who claim to be disciples of Christ, to reach out to humbly help those who need our help.   I’m convicted; … how about you?             

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for  calling me to help others whom You show me need Your loving kindness         

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I’m praying that those who read with me here will join me help those that You, Lord, give us the opportunity to help today.    …  Amen
