My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Karen Huang  -  AT THIS LINK   told of a distinguished Seminary Professor who had a lasting impression on the ODB author by an act of hospitality and compassion that the professor exercised to recognize and respect one of the school custodians.  The eminent professor put together a special lunch plate with an elegant dessert … very unexpectedly, … and this one act of grace had a lasting impression on the ODB author.

In a somewhat likewise pattern of hospitality, I had a distinguished retired physician, who was also an Elder in our church and a recognized bible scholar, who took every Saturday morning from 7-8am to mentor me for over a decade into God’s word. …   And here I was a former atheist and recovering porn addict, who had surrendered my life to Christ.  I’ll never forget Dr. Bob’s hospitality and grace to show me how to grow in Christ’s love by sharing that love and grace with others.

Perhaps my readers have someone in your life who has helped you in some very impressionable way. …  I hope so; … and I also hope we all are doing all we can to help others experience the love and grace of Christ by reaching out with Christ’s love and with our compassion and hospitality.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for  using Your compassion, Lord, to lift me to help others.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I’m praying that those who read with me here will join me to reach our with God’s love to help others today.    Amen
