August 13, 2022 … Made New Today …

Berry Patch Devotions in 2021 - Day 225

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...  Please take the time to take in song and lyrics from Big Daddy Weave singing … All Things New … poignantly singing of how our surrender to Christ will make all things new in our lives.

==============

Highlight Passage: … Luke 10:26-27 [NLT] …

26 Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?”  27 The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

… Jesus helps a religious leader to see the meaning of truth from God’s word in Deut 6:5 by telling the parable of “the good samaritan.”

Highlight Passage (Context): … Luke 10:26-37 [NLT] … USE THIS LINK

  Jesus teaches on what it takes to help “a neighbor” be transformed into the newness Christ offers to anyone who believes in Him.

===============

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Elisa Morgan … AT THIS LINK relates a story of a sick and dying goldfish which was brought back to life and made new by a caring new owner who took the time to care for the fish.

And this story reminded the ODB author of the parable in Luke 10 of the man on the road who was made new by the caring help of a Samaritan, which, of course, illustrates that any and all who come to Christ will be made new by their faith in Jesus (see Scriptures above).  It was prophesied in the Old Testament (see Isaiah 43 and Ezekiel 11) and confirmed by Paul’s repetitive teaching in the NT (see Pauline scriptures above).

And no one knows better about the truth that God will remake a broken man into a new and healed person than yours truly, … having been remade and reshaped - slowly, but surely - into the image of my Savior.  And oh how I pray that all reading here are experiencing the newness of Christ’s transforming grace. If not, … contact me @ billb13@icloud.com and I will do my best to help you find that newness in Christ.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for remaking this old broken warrior into the newness I find daily in following You, Lord. .

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, …  to let You, Lord, transform us into Your image today and tomorrow.    … Amen
