My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Amy Boucher Pie … AT THIS LINK   writes about Amy Johnson Flint, who was totally dependent on others due to severe arthritis; and who in 1919 wrote a poem which became the hymn which is posted in the linked song above, which declared, “God hath not promised skies always blue, and flower-strewn pathways all our lives through. . . .”

And taking in this old hymn, I think all my readers will agree that life can be - and often is - almost too much for us to handle.  But if my readers have also meditated on - and agree with as I do the Scriptures above - we know that our Lord will never leave us or abandon us in times of trial; and … He will always be there to provide us with His enabling/empowering grace.

Personally, that’s all I need in life!  How about you?

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for ALWAYS being there with Your empowering grace … today and tomorrow.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, …  to use Your enabling grace, Lord, to deal with our trials today.   … Amen
