My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Karen Pimpo … AT THIS LINK tells of a young woman who was willing to humbly receive uncomfortable, yet wise, advice from a more experienced colleague, which ultimately helped their relationship and the younger woman’s performance at work.
It’s not easy to follow Godly advice from others, is it? We all-to-often let our egos get in the way; and as we read from God’s word above, that can lead to foolish decisions. God’s word, thru wisdom from no less than Solomon and Jesus Himself, is to use God’s truth to receive and follow Godly wisdom. Jesus said that if we truly love Him we will obey His commandments (see John 14:15, 21.
So, do we really love and follow Jesus? I sure want to; … and I know that the best way to show my love for my Lord and to follow Him, is to know His word and simply obey its lead in making the decisions I will make today. How about you?
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for showing me THE wise ways to go thru Your word.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to show our love for You, Lord, by obeying Your word. … Amen
