My Journal for Today: Today’s Our Daily Bread devotional entry, authored by C.P. Hia, took his readers [me] to one of my favorite true stories in the Old Testament, … that of Nehemiah being charged by God to rebuild the walls of God’s Temple in Jerusalem prior to God’s remnant of followers being led back to the faith from exile. It is a great story, illustrating the power of surrendered leadership, yielding to use God’s power, to cover our human weaknesses.

I think any reader here would agree that there are times when know we must forge ahead toward Christlikeness; but we fee inept or too weak to move onward to carry out God’s will - even if we know what that will is. For Nehemiah, … God’s will was clear; but the opposition, as one reads about in Nehemiah, Chapter 6, was daunting. But Nehemiah trusted in God’s strength to cover His weakness, … just as Steven Curtis Chapman sings about in the song linked above.

Perhaps, as you’re reading here today, you’ve got some challenge in life, especially in light of your own, recognized, weaknesses, which is holding you back. Meditate on the truths from God’s word above and realize that, … just as with Nehemiah, Solomon, or the Apostle Paul were challenged (see the scriptures above], … God’s strength is ALWAYS sufficient to cover our weakness; and as God’s word declares in 1st John 4: 4, … Greater is HE that is in me [or us] than he that is in the world!

Yes, we CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST Who gives us His strength!!

My Prayer for Today O Lord, … I yield to Your strength to cover my weakness. … Amen
