… God provides our needs from His abundance; … ALWAYS.
My Journal for Today: Today’s Our Daily Bread author, Jennifer Benson Schuldt, uses a personal illustration to illustrate how God provided for Ruth and Naomi, … and for us, … as the author wrote about her daughter loving to lick the left-over brownie batter from the bowl as she and her daughter would make chocolate brownies, their favorite dessert [use the ODB link below to read the story].
And the author’s story, as well as the highlight passage for today’s ODB entry (see Ruth 2: 1-16, linked above) show us how God is ALWAYS the Provider of what we need, even to the point of being generous in His mercy and kindness, … just as Boaz was for Ruth.
I hope all who read here today would take in the devotional song, linked above, with Don Moen and worshippers singing of their thankfulness and worship of our God, …. Jehovah Jireh … God’s name as “our Provider;” and I pray that we all realize and thank our Lord for providing for our needs just as He did, through Boaz, for the needs of Ruth and Naomi … or for Abraham when needed the provision of a lamb to sacrifice in lieu of his son, Isaac [see Genesis 22 above]; … or when God supplied His only Son, Jesus, to be our sacrificial Lamb in remission for our sins.
God is our Provider … let us pray thanks to Him today.
My Prayer Today: Oh, my Lord, … You are our Jehovah Jireh … ALWAYS; and we worship You with our thanks and praise today for providing all our needs from the abundance of Your glory. … Amen
