Highlight Passage [Context]: … Philippians 2:1-11 [NLT] … USE THIS LINK …

 Paul poetically helping fellow Christians to work together in unity and humility for Christ.

==============

Reference Passage: … John 13:34-35 [NLT] …

34 So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. 35 Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”.

…Jesus commanded (and now commands) His disciples to show our love for one another in the unity/harmony of God’s love.

Reference Passage: … 1Corinthians 1:10 [NLT] …

10 I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters,[a] by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.

… Paul exhorts fellow Christians to humbly come TOGETHER in unity of God’s purpose.

Reference Passage: … 1Corinthians 6:17 [NLT] …

17 But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

… Paul teaches that when we Christians are joined with God’s Spirit we become unified in His will and purpose.

Reference Passage: … Ephesian 4:16 [NLT] …

16 He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

… God, thru Paul, teaching on Christ’s body working together in the unity of His purpose.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Glenn Peterson, AT THIS LINK … describes how beautiful is was for him to hear the Colorado Symphony Orchestra harmoniously performing the classic song Amazing Grace in the beautiful and natural arena of Red Rocks canyon amphitheater (see photo).

And the ODB author is right when he writes that “there is something beautiful about harmony,” … when all of the individual instruments of a symphony orchestra come TOGETHER under the leadership of a competent conductor to play a piece like “Amazing Grace.” But if the orchestra were not led by a competent conductor; or if there was even one instrument playing out of tune, there would be dis-harmony. And all listening would be disappointed with what they heard.

And when God’s people (i.e., His Church) come TOGETHER and are in harmony with our Lord, … as our Conductor, … the ONE VOICE (hear the linked song) that is heard would be the harmony of God’s will and His purpose, … playing His song, … perhaps like “Amazing Grace.” And I pray that all reading here are doing all we can to humbly play TOGETHER in the harmony that comes from a unified Church.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, …for being our Conductor.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to play TOGETHER in unity and in harmony with Your will, Lord, as our Conductor. … Amen
