My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread Author, Tim Gustafson - AT THIS LINK - told of camping with his family when he was a child and the ODB author’s father telling him to keep the camp fire burning at night to protect the family from wild animals.

in Israel’s biblical history, God’s people always had an annual campout in the Feast of Tabernacles, where they would build tents and light fires, showing their faith in God to keep His eternal covenant and to ALWAYS be there and with God’s fires burning to protect His chosen people. And today’s ODB entry asks us - God’s chosen - whether we’re keeping the fires of our faith burning (See photo) which, according to God’s word above, will ALWAYS protect us with God’s grace.

What are we doing TODAY to keep God’s protective fires burning?

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for giving me Your promise of Your protective grace.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I’m praying today that those who read with me here will join me to rely on Your fires of grace which always burn to protect us, Lord. … Amen
