My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread Author - Amy Boucher Pie AT THIS LINK The ODB author relates a story of two youthful friends, Brock and Dennis, who separated from their friendship because one of them, … Dennis, … who pursued Jesus and Brock could not. But after a decade or so, Brock came to pursue a relationship with Christ, reuniting the two friends in their newly joined faith in Jesus.

And that’s what Jesus does, … doesn’t He? Like in many of the scriptures (see those shared today), God’s Spirit relentlessly pursues the hearts of those who reject Godliness. And as God was with King David (see Psalms 50:10) and with Ezekiel (see Ezekiel 11) and the Apostle Paul (see 2Cor 5:17). God promises, pursues, and provides a new heart which becomes receptive to seek out God’s ways, … rejecting the ways of selfishness or the world. My heart is too slowly tuning in to follow God’s truth and His ways; … how about you?

My Thanksgiving: Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … for Your Spirit, living in me today and tuning me into Your will, Lord, thru Your Spirit and Your word.

My Prayer TodayOh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray, … again today, … that all reading here will join me, … as we tune our hearts to Your will and Your way, Lord, thru Your word.
