My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread Author - Bill Crowder  AT THIS LINK -     … relates how President Roosevelt, in 1943, in the throws and stresses of WW2, pressed Congress to purchase a plot of land, which was called “Shagri-la,” for him and his family to go and rest in protected peace.  The resting place for Presidents was later renamed by President Eisenhower to be called “Camp David; “ and that name of the protected and secure property remains the same to this day

In this troubled and insecure world in which we live today, we all need some place to go to find rest and peace, don’t we?  Well, if you’ve taken in the linked song and the Scriptures above, I think you’ll see, as I do, that God’s word directs us to the source of protected peace in our lives; and that is in our relationship with Christ.  And I pray we all go there if we need God’s protective grace today.

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … for giving me Your “Camp David” today - and any day - I need Your peace.

My Prayer TodayOh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray, … again today, … that all reading here will join me, …  to  receive Your peace today, which You, Lord, ALWAYS have waiting for us. … Amen
