… James, the brother of Jesus, exhorts fellow Christians to not just hear God’s word but become doers, in obedience to God’s truth.

                        

My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author - Tom Felton … AT THIS LINK      … used the storyline of a book by H.G. Wells, where the main character, Nunez, discovered a valley in the mountains where all the residents had been blinded by a horrible disease; … and when Nunez found a way for them to follow him to freedom, they opted to stay where they were.  And the story reminded the ODB author of Samuel, in the Highlight Scripture passage, where God’s people became blinded from God’s commands and called for a human king to replace God as their King.

God in His word, thru the OT prophets and the NT authors, including Jesus, proclaimed God’s blessing on those who see and follow God’s word and His will.  And Jesus clearly taught  His disciples (see John 14:21) that those who love Him are those who see and follow His will and His ways thru His word.  Oh, … that is my pursuit by being here in God’s word every morning.  How about you?  Do you see and follow His way through His word?

         

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … for showing me THE way, Your way, to go thru Your word.

My Prayer Toda: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray, … again today, … that all reading here will join me, …  to see and follow Your way, Lord, by obeying Your word.   … AMEN
