My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author - John Blase … AT THIS LINK -       …  Tells of French high-wire artist Philippe Petit, who walked a high-wire strung between famous tall buildings in the 1970s.   The last these events involved Petit  being invited by the Israeli government to walk a wire across the Hinnom Valley;  and  while walking the wire, Petit released a pigeon, which he felt symbolized peace. And having done the feat, Petit said, “For a moment, the entire crowd had forgotten their differences.” 

According to the ODB author, the whole stunt to symbolize peace reminded him of the incredible peace we Christians receive by our faith in the blood Jesus Christ shed at Calvary so that any who believe in Him, can claim God’s peace, having been released from the scourge of sin.  Personally, that is the peace I pursue.   How about you?  Are you with me as we walk the wire of this life, … having the peace which Christ has given us.  

         

Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … for giving me Your peace thru my faith in Your shed blood.                       

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray, … again today, … that all reading here will join me, …  to receive Your saving grace and Your peace thru the blood of Christ. … AMEN
