My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, Glenn Packiam, relates a personal story of how God knows and sees all in our lives. … The ODB author wrote: Finn, a Siamese fighting fish, lived at our house for two years. My young daughter would often bend down to talk with him after dropping food into his tank. When the topic of pets came up in kindergarten, she proudly claimed him as her own. Eventually, Finn passed away, and my daughter was heartbroken.
My mother advised me to listen closely to my daughter’s feelings and tell her, “God knows all about it.” I agreed that God knows everything, yet wondered, How will that be comforting? Then it occurred to me that God isn’t simply aware of the events in our lives—He compassionately sees into our souls and knows how they affect us. He understands that “little things” can feel like big things depending on our age, past wounds, or lack of resources.

How often do we see a need and fill it without anyone else knowing or seeing what we did? What do we feel in such moments? Do we regret others not seeing our giving heart; … or do we just know that God sees all and smiles, … knowing what’s in our hearts?

I pray it’s the latter; because when any reader here takes in the linked song and the Scriptures above, we need to see that anything - and EVERYTHING - we do is judged by God, not as the world sees it, but rather as the Lord sees our heart. … And He ALWAYS does!!

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, Lord, … for always seeing my heart for what it is.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... I pray, Lord, that all reading here will join me today, to be willing to reach out and help others because we know that God sees our heart and loves a cheerful giver. Amen
