Highlight Verse[s]: Isaiah 48:17 [NLT] ... 17  This is what the Lord says — your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow.
… As God’s people, we get our guidance from Him to lead us on our paths.

… God, thru Isaiah, shows God’s people that they need His perspective to guide them on their way.

Reference Passage : … Psalm 119:105 [NLT] ... 105  Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
… When we share God’s truth from HIs word with others, it will ALWAYS be fruitful for His purposes.

Reference Passage : … Proverbs 3:5-6 [NLT] ... 5  Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6  Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.
… Avoiding trying to find our way on our own, God promises to lead us if we depend on His guidance.

Reference Passage : … Jeremiah 29:13 [NLT] ... 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.
… God’s promise that He’ll be there for us when we seek His ways.

Reference Passage : … Luke 11:9-10 [NLT] ... 9 “And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
… Jesus promises to show us the way in life if we keep seeking His way.

My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, Anne Cetas, tells of a young man who used satellite images to help him lead metal detecting excursions, illustrating how we Christians need God’s perspectives to guide us in life. … The ODB author wrote: When Peter Welch was a young boy in the 1970s, using a metal detector was only a hobby. But since 1990, he’s been leading people from around the world on metal-detecting excursions. [see photo] They’ve made thousands of discoveries—swords, ancient jewelry, coins. Using “Google Earth,” a computer program based on satellite imagery, they look for patterns in the landscape on farmland in the United Kingdom. It shows them where roads, buildings, and other structures may have been centuries ago. Peter says, “To have a perspective from above opens a whole new world.”

The ODB entry is a good word picture for us Christians who are trying to find our way in life. Like the metal detecting tours which used Google Earth, we need a higher perspective than our own to seek out and find what God has for us in life. And that’s why you find me starting out each day, by seeking and using God’s “GPS,” … His truth from His word, … to help guide me and to find His way in life.

And today’s linked song and the Scriptures above show us that God will show us the right way if we’re willing to seek and find His way rather than trying to go it on our own. … But will we?

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... I pray, Lord, that all reading here will join me, … to seek out and find God’s treasure by searching in His word. Amen
