=============

Reference Passage : … Psalm 119:162 [NLT] ... 162  I rejoice in your word like one who discovers a great treasure.
 … Finding our joy in being in God’s word.

Reference Passage : … John 16:22 [NLT] ... 22 So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy.
 … Jesus expresses His promise that even in our sorrow now, we will rejoice again when He comes again to joyfully be with His Bride forever.

Reference Passage : … Romans 15:13 [NLT] ... 13 I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
… The Apostle prays that all Christians find their joy in the hope of Christ.

Reference Passage : … James 1:2 [NLT] ... 2 Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.
 … God, thru Jesus’ brother, James, challenges Christians to express our joy in Christ ... yes, even in troubled times.

My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, Xochitl Dixon, tells of a young boy who often spread joy to others by by dancing as he went home from school. … The ODB author wrote: When the school year began, fourteen-year-old C.J. would hop off the bus every afternoon and dance down his driveway. His mom recorded and shared videos of C.J.’s after-school boogie time. He danced because he enjoyed life and “making people happy” with every move. One day, two garbage collectors took time out of their busy work schedule to stomp, spin, and sway with the young boy who inspires others to dance with him. This trio demonstrates the power of sincere and infectious joy.

Dear one; … I don’t know what triggers you to express your Christian joy. Maybe it’s dancing like C.J. in the ODB story or like Snoopy in the photo. Or maybe you like to sing of your joy in Christ like Twila Paris in the linked song. Or perhaps, like me, you find joy by choosing to dwell with the Lord in His word daily (see Ps. 119:162).

But, above all, I pray today that all reading here with me, as did the Apostle Paul (see Rom. 16:22 or the brother of Jesus (see James 1:2), know that joy is a choice, … not a feeling, … and we can choose to share the joy we have in the hope of Christ’s return for His bride; yes, even in these troubled times. … So, with whom will we share that joy today?

=============
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, Lord, … for giving me all the joy I need to experience and share in these troubled times.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... I pray, Lord, that all reading here will join me, … to choose joy we have in Christ and share it with someone today. Amen
