My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, James Banks AT THIS LINK … relays a story of his son, Geoff, … reaching out to help an alcoholic, bent on suicide, and helping this broken man out of empathy, … the author’s son having been an alcoholic who was saved from the same fate by Geoff’s relationship with Christ.
And the ODB author used the story of Philip, in Acts 8:26-40, who took time to help an Ethiopian official to understand the prophesy of Isaiah (see Isaiah 53 above), which led the Ethiopian to a saving relationship with Christ.
And perhaps there are others reading here, besides myself, who, like Kari Jobe sings in the inked song, have experienced God reaching down into broken lives to lift us up and save us. Because, if that’s you, as it is with me, can we give our Lord a resounding ”HALLELJUAH” today?
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for reaching down into my life to lift me up and save me from myself.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to praise and thank our Lord for saving us from ourselves. … Amen
