My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Cindy Hess Kasper, AT THIS LINK relays a story of a young journalist who related that he gained his love of journalism when his mother, on her ride home on the subway each night would collect discarded newspapers and give them to him, which he devoured daily to gain a hunger for the truth.

And that’s what God’s word calls us to do; but not from newspapers … but from God’s truth!    When we read (see highlight passage) of how Solomon wanted his son to realize how we gain Godly wisdom; …  and how King David sought after wisdom from God’s commands (see Ps 119 above); … and how the Apostle Paul desired fellow Christians to grow in Godly direction (see Col 3:16 and 2Tim 3:16 above); … and how Jesus’ brother James taught fellow Christians  (see James 1:5 above) to seek after Godly wisdom, I’m praying we take on the attitude of the young journalist in the ODB story.

However, my prayer for my readers … and myself, … is not to follow the ways of the world thru newspapers; … but to follow the wisdom from God’s word above and seek to grow in Christlikeness by doing what I’m doing here - and what I do each morning to start my day - and that is to seek out my direction and purpose from God’s word.

And I pray that for you too!!

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for giving me Your wisdom and direction generously from Your word.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, …  to seek out Your wisdom and direction, Lord, from Your eternal “GPS.” … and that is Your word. … Amen
