My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Jennifer Benson Schuldt … AT THIS LINK … tells the true story of a 15th century lord in Florence, Italy, Lorenzo di Medici, who traveled alone and unarmed into the camp of his enemy, King Ferrante I, of Naples, who was so taken by de Medici’s boldness and courage that it ended a war between the Italian lords.
And then, to give biblical support for being bold as followers of Christ, the ODB author uses the boldness of Daniel (see highlight passage) to show that believers can - and should - move ahead in life trusting by faith - and KNOWING - that our God would lead us thru the frightful times of life. We see that in both the OT (Deut 31:6 and Prov 3:5-6) and the NT (Phil 4:13 and 2Tim 1:7).
So, my fellow disciples of Christ, how can we show our faith and trust in God today and move forward with boldness, … knowing that our God is ALWAYS with us?
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for being with me today, Lord, giving me your empowering grace when I feel weak.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to move out today with boldness, Lord, knowing that You’re ALWAYS with us. Amen
