My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Amy Boucher Eye, AT THIS LINK … recalled a time in the author’s past when she joined with a crowd of Christians on a cooler summer night and joyously sang their praises to God.
And that special memory for the ODB author in today’s entry, brought recollection to how King David reveled in praise and song when the Ark of the Covenant was brought back into the Temple (see photo and highlight passage). And God’s word above, from David in the OT to other authors, like Paul and James, in the NT call on all of us who believe in and follow The Lord, to praise His Holy and wondrous Name, … especially in songs like the one linked above by Chris Tomlin.
I pray we all take in that song, and … in meditating on God’s word above, … I pray we’re all brought to praise our King Jesus and give worship to His Name this day … no matter what we’re going thru in life.
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for calling on Your followers, Lord, to praise Your Holy Name … today and ALL DAYS …
