My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Mike Wittmer … AT THIS LINK … told of a young jogger in a park being confronted and running away from two wild turkeys who seemingly attacked the young jogger on his running trail. The young jogger expressed fear of the sharp beaks of the aggressive turkeys (see photo).
The story reminded me of a time when I as about four years old and screaming in fear being surrounded by a flock of chickens. Sometimes we can have irrational fears when we misjudge the circumstances, can’t we? But that was certainly not the case with young David, the shepherd boy, who was confronted in a duel on the battlefield with Goliath, the mighty Philistine warrior. David even ran forth to confront the giant warrior because He knew that he was fighting God’s battle.
What will we face today where we need to stand and fearlessly confront our fears, because we KNOW that our God is with us? And I pray that we have the heart and attitude of the young girl in the linked song or we stand, with strength, … FEARLESSLY … like young David, because we know that we know that we KNOW that our Lord is standing with us (see Scriptures above).
My THANKFULNESS:<... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for Your promise to ALWAYS give me Your strength when I’m feeling weak.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … standing fearlessly with You, Lord, … knowing that You’re with us. .… Amen
