October 7, 2022… Why Worry?! …

Berry Patch Devotions in 2021 - Day 280

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...   Please take the time to take in song and lyrics from tom Cory Asbury singing … Sparrows … poignantly singing of how our God will take care of us like He cares for the tiny sparrows.

God caring for His hummingbirds ...

==============

Highlight Passage: … Matthew 6:26  [ESV] …

26 Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to Him than they are?

… Jesus teaches that our God, who cares for the birds of the air, will even more so care for our needs.

Highlight Passage (Context): …  Matthew 6:25-33 [NLT] …  USE THIS LINK …

… Jesus shows the people how foolish it is to worry about our bodily because God most certainly will care for our needs like he cares for the needs of the birds and the flowers.

27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid..

Reference Passage: …  Romans 15:13 [ESV] …

Reference Passage: …  Philippians 4:6-7 [ESV] …

… Paul shows fellow believers how God can - AND WILL - provide His peace when we have worries or anxieties.

Reference Passage  Philippians 4:19 [ESV] …

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Patricia Rayon … AT THIS LINK   … relates how a neighbor quietly showed her a nest of hummingbirds (see photo) in his yard, comparing that experience with the teaching of Jesus, Who showed His followers (and us) (see Highlight passage) that if God takes care of the birds (as He does), won’t God, our Father, much more take care of the needs of His beloved and chosen children.

And personally, …  I’m totally in for Jesus’ logic? How about you?  … And so I’m praying that all my readers here today will take in Cory Asbury’s song and meditate on the Scriptures above;  and then, let’s all cast off any worries we have, knowing that God, our Father, will take care of us at least as much - but probably way more - than He does those hummingbirds.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … knowing today that you’ll take care of Your sparrows and give me Your peace as well.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to share in Your peace, Lord, knowing that You will supply all our needs.     .… Amen
