===============                                                                     .

Reference Passage: … Psalm 119:105 [NLT] …

105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet an a light for my path.

… King David sings of using God’s word - His truth - to be the light which guides our path in life.

Reference Passage: …  1Peter 2:9 [NLT] …

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for He called you out of the darkness into His wonderful light.

… Peter shows persecuted Christians (and us) that they (we) have been called out of the darkness of despair and darkness into God’s glorious light.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Alyson Kieda … AT THIS LINK   tells of Whitney, a retired financial worker in NY city, who worked for weeks in the worst part of the COVID crisis, shining Christ’s light wherever she was able to help the city deal with the darkness of the pandemic.

If my readers have taken in the linked song and meditated on the Scriptures above, I pray we’re all convicted to act on the call from God’s word, … from King David and Solomon in the OT and from Paul, Peter, and no less than Jesus, Himself in the NT (see Scriptures above), to do all we can, as did Whitney in the ODB entry, to shine the light of Christ into the darkness of this world (see photo) by following God’s light of truth and by doing our best to live like God’s word calls us to live.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for calling me to shine Your light into the darkness of this world again today.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to do all we can - even today - to shine Your light, Lord, into this ever darkening world.  .,,  Amen
