March 25, 2022 …Where’s Waldo (and God)?

Berry Patch Devotions in 2021 - Day 84

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ... Please take the time to take in song and lyrics from Kari Jobe singing … The More i Seek You … poignantly singing of how the more diligently and trustingly we seek to follow our Lord, the more likely it is that we will find and follow His ways.

Where's WALDO? ...

==============

Highlight Passage [Context]: … Jeremiah 29:12 [NLT] …

13 If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.

… God ALWAYS holds out redemption for the remnant of those who believe and WHOLEHEARTEDLY trust in Him.

Highlight Passage [Context]: … Jeremiah 29:4-7, 10-14 [NLT] … USE THIS LINK …

… God, thru Jeremiah, promises, His exiled remnant of believers, redemption and restoration for those who trust in the Lord with all their (and our) hearts.

Highlight Passage [Context]: … 1Chronicles 16:8-11 [NLT] … USE THIS LINK …

… On the day that the Arc of the Covenant was placed in the Tabernacle, King David sang of the truth that those who seek the Lord continually will find Him.

Highlight Passage [Context]: … Proverbs 8:17 [NLT] …

17 I love all who love Me. Those who search will surely find Me.

… God, thru Solomon, promises that those who diligently search after God will find Him.

Highlight Passage [Context]: … Matthew 6:33 [NLT] …

33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.

… Jesus reveals how we, seekers after God’s righteous wife, must seek after Him.

Highlight Passage [Context]: … Matthew 7:7-8 [NLT] …

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

… Jesus, in His “Sermon on the Mount,” also promises that those who keep seeking after God’s way in life will find it … if they keep seeking diligently.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Xochitl Dixon… AT THIS LINK  used the cartoon illustration of “Where’s Waldo” (see photo), where the character of Waldo can be found by searchers in the midst of hundreds of others in the cartoon.  He’s there; but the viewer must search diligently to find him. … {Hey, friend, using a microscope helps!}

And that’s somewhat what Jeremiah wrote to desperate believers after they had been exiled to Babylon. And God, thru Jeremiah’s prophesy of the coming Messiah, promised that He, the Lord, would be found by any and all who believed in Messiah’s coming and those who trusted in God’s promises (see Highlight passage). And then, when Jesus came as the fulfillment of Messianic prophesies, … as our Lord in His sermon on the mount, He promised that He, the Lord, can and will be found by those who truly love Him and by those who seek after Him with their (our) whole hearts (see Matt 6 and 7 above) .

SO, are we really … DILIGENTLY and TRUSTINGLY … seeking after God’s way, and not trying to do it OUR WAY? Personally, I need to be seeking with more belief and trust in my Lord. How about you?

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for ALWAYS being there for me to find You.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to keep seeking diligently to follow our Lord’s light out of the darkness of this world. Amen
