My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Karen Huang… AT THIS LINK … relates a personal experience, admitting to being a worrier by nature, but finding herself at peace in the midst of a time of extreme stress at work and realizing that this sense of PEACE could only come by the ODB author’s trust in God.
Today we’re all living in a caldron of stress and trial, aren’t we? We’ve all been dealing with the threat of disease and death in the two year long COVID crisis. There is great unrest with world-wide political tensions, …. topped off by a war going on in the Ukraine which threatens the world’s peace. But in the midst of all these stresses and trials, God promises to give us His peace if we’re willing to trust Him (see Scriptures above).
No question !!! God certainly offers us His peace; … BUT, … are we willing to trust in Him, humbly and completely. Because if we are, His peace is ours !!!
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … forgiving me Your Your peace if - and when - I’m willing to trust in You.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to capture Your peace, Lord, when we come to You with trusting and surrendered hearts. Amen
