My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Xochitl Dixon … AT THIS LINK  illustrated the importance of remembering our Lord’s sacrifice with communion by the story of Buzz Aldrin quietly taking communion during the Apollo 11 mission to the moon (see photo).

It was our Lord in that upper room Passover supper who instituted His last supper, charging His Disciples to take it often to remember what their Messiah would do, shedding His blood and sacrificing His body to save mankind.  And we, as the remnant of His disciples are to remember that sacrifice by take communion, … just like Buzz Aldrin did on the moon.

And I’m praying that we stop for a moment as you take in the linked song and meditate on the Scriptures above, to remember our Lord’s sacrifice by becoming, as God, thru Paul, charged us to become living sacrifices for our God (see Romans 12:1-2).

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … by remembering Your sacrifice often in my retaking my eucharist reminder of what You did for us on the cross.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, …  to remember often Your blood sacrifice to save us by retaking the elements of Your table.     … Amen
