My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, James Banks … AT THIS LINK  wrote that a leading economist, John Keynes, in1930, predicted that modern technology would one day in the future make for us humans to be working 5 hours a day, three days a week. Keynes wrote:   “What will we do with all our spare time?”

However, we know now that this prediction was dead wrong.  Because, here we are today with many wondrous, modern, advances in technology and with computerized “time management” skills (see photo), and we’re more frantic than ever as we Christians try to live wisely (as Paul exhorted in Eph 5:15-16, but seemingly falling farther and farther behind in life.  Perhaps my readers feel these pressures and stresses today.  I sure do!

But those of us who believe and trust in the truth of God’s word, find hope and peace in the admonitions of the linked song and the Scriptures above.  Yes, trusting in God’s ways and waiting on Him to give us the strength to deal with this frantic life can be hard work; but it’s worth it;…  because by living it and following and waiting on the Lord, we will see that He will lead us homeward to eternal life with Him.  … Well worth the waiting!!!

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … give me Your strength to help me wait on You.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, …  to keep on keeping on by waiting on You, Lord.   … Amen
