… God reveals to us, thru John, that we are His Bride preparing ourselves now for the wedding feast of the Lamb of God by doing all the things He loves.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Elisa Morgan … AT THIS LINK  shared a story about being at a birthday dinner where the mother of the birthday girl prepared a meal with all the favorite foods for her daughter’s birthday, including a luscious white chocolate raspberry cake (see photo), … knowing that favorite foods always say, ”I love you.”

If you were served all your “fave” foods on your birthday, especially your favorite cake, wouldn’t you feel loved?  Of course you would.   And the night before He was to die on the cross, Jesus served up a meal that we, as His disciples, can share over and over and over again to show our love for our King Jesus; and that is the bread and the wine (or juice), lovingly remembering what our Lord did on the cross for all who would believe in His finished work on the cross.

So, let’s all remember that our sharing our love for our Lord by doing what He loves (that is, our good works), we are preparing ourselves for the wedding feast for our Messiah (see Revelation 19:6-8).  And what a feast of love it will be !!

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … help me to get ready for Your wedding feast, Lord, by serving up Your good works today.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, …  to show our love for You, Lord, by serving up Your good works.    … Amen
