My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Xochitl Dixon… AT THIS LINK   in a time of feeling weak and vulnerable, the ODB author tells of being at a zoo and seeing a sloth moving ever so slowly and holding strongly to a tree with one arm (see photo). It was an image which helped the author remember that we need to trust God to give us His strength when we’re feeling weak in times of trial.

My friend, … my fellow Christian, … some of you, like the sloth in the attached photo, may be just hanging on for dear life right now, feeling very weak and vulnerable - unlike the sloth who can hang on with great strength.  But if you’ve taken in Steven Curtis Chapman’s song, linked above and meditated on the Scriptures I’ve provided, I pray that all of us know that we can totally rely on our Lord, … trusting Him to give us His strength and direction in life when we’re overwhelmed by our feelings of weakness.

As SCC sings, God will be there with His peace and strength if we’re willing to hang on and wait on Him.

My THANKFULNESS:... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for always being there with Your right hand to lift me up.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, …  to seek and rely on Your strength, Lord, when we’re feeling weak.    … Amen
