Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...  Please take the time to take in song and lyrics from the group Jars of Clay singing Faith Like a Child … powerfully singing of how God expects His children to trust Him and have the faith of a child.

Highlight Verse[s]: Matthew 21:16 [NLT] ...    16 They [the religious leaders] asked Jesus, “Do you hear what these children are saying?” “Yes,” Jesus replied. Haven’t you ever read the Scriptures? For they say, ‘You have taught children and infants to give you praise.”

My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, Arthur Jackson, relates a story about impoverished children in Africa having the faith called for Jesus in God’s word. … The ODB author wrote: When a friend and I rode into one of the slums in Nairobi, Kenya, our hearts were deeply humbled by the poverty we witnessed. In that same setting, however, different emotions—like fresh waters—were stirred in us as we witnessed young children running and shouting, “Mchungaji, Mchungaji!” (Swahili for “pastor”). Such was their joy-filled response upon seeing their spiritual leader in the vehicle with us. With these tender shouts, the little ones welcomed the one known for his care and concern for them.

That story reminded me of the times (see above from Matthew 19 and 21) when children flocked to Jesus, trusting in Him like a father, … and having faith that He was Whom He said He was … their Messiah. And Jesus, rebuked the Jewish Leaders - and even His own disciples - for not having the faith of these little ones.

Brings up the question, ... if we have faith like the group Jars of Clay sings in the linked song or like the little child has in leaping into the arms of his father [as in the photo]; … are we willing to jump into the arms of our Abba Father today, knowing that He will ALWAYS be there to catch us?

=============
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, Lord, … for being there to catch me today … and ALWAYS!

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... I pray, Lord, that all reading here will join me to leap, with faith, in Your arms today, Lord, and let You carry us forward. Amen
