… In the Day of our Lord’s return, our Messiah, the Lamb of God, will repair the damage of this world and bring us from darkness into the Light of His glory.

… God, thru the Prophet, Amos, promises to bring light out of the darkness of this world for all of His chosen people.

Reference Passage : … Matthew 27:45 [NLT] … 45 At noon, darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock.
… When Jesus died, God made the world go dark for three hours in the middle of that horrible - yet GLORIOUS - day.

My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, Lisa M Samra, uses a reference to a total solar eclipse to picture the darkness of this world and then a reference to God’s prophesy, thru Amos, of how God will restore the light of His glory when Jesus returns. … The ODB author wrote: I was prepared with eye protection, an ideal viewing location, and homemade moon pie desserts. Along with millions of people in the US, my family watched the rare occurrence of a total solar eclipse—the moon covering the entire disk of the sun.
The eclipse caused an unusual darkness to come over the typically bright summer afternoon. [see photo] … This is what darkness signified for Amos, a prophet during the time of the divided monarchy in ancient Israel. Amos warned the Northern Kingdom that destruction would come if they continued to turn away from. … But God’s ultimate desire and purpose was—and is—to make all things right.

And a total solar eclipse is a great earthly - God-picture - of God’s plan to bring His Light to a world darkened by sin. And on that day when Jesus died on the Cross, everything went dark in midday for three hours, … showing just how dark the world had become. But when our Lord returns, the prophesies of Amos will unfold (see highlight passages); and King Jesus will bring His light and glory to replace the darkness of this world … FOREVER!!!

And I pray that all reading here are preparing our hearts/minds, and praying as the linked song sings, for Jesus to shine His Light of glory on all who know Him as our Messiah, … King Jesus, … “Light of the world!”

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, Lord, … for shining Your light to bring me out of my darkness.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... I pray, Lord, that all reading here are will join me to pray that King Jesus will come soon to shine His light of eternal glory on all of us who know Him as our Lord and Messiah. Amen
