My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Kenneth Peterson … AT THIS LINK … uses the rural Amish culture as an illustration, … when they come together as an example of the “body of Christ,” each individual Christ follower using his/her gifts and talents TOGETHER to help other fellow Christians build a barn in one day, … a task that it would take months for one Christians to accomplish even if he had the right abilities.
And it is a good illustration of God’s call on individual believers to come TOGETHER in one Body of unified Christians; … especially thru the teachings of the Apostle Paul in the Scriptures above. God, thru Paul’s writings, repetitively exhorted fellow Christians (and that’s us too) that we should (no, MUST!) avoid trying to take on the world as “Lone Ranger” disciples of Christ. Rather, we need (no, MUST!) come TOGETHER as Christ’s Body, yes, today, as Casting Crowns sings in the linked song, to build the barns of our lives as the BODY OF CHRIST.
What can we do, as Your body, Lord, even today to serve You, Lord, bringing our individual gifts and talents TOGETHER (see photo) for Your glory?
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for calling us to serve You as Your body, working TOGETHER, for Your glory.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to come TOGETHER - today - as Your body, to use our gifts and talents for Your glory. . Amen
